On 24th of November, 2015, the Foundation for Hungarian-Vietnamese Relations cooperated with the Gamma Group (Hungary) to donate an automatic air monitoring station (TVS3) to the Center for Environmental Monitoring, General Department of Environment, Vietnamese Ministry of Natural resources and Environment.
Attending to the reception ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnamese General Department of Environment, there was Deputy Director of General Department of Environment Nguyen The Dong and Director of Environment Monitoring Center Nguyen Van Thuy. On the Hungarian side, there was Mr. Tollar Tibor, General Director of the National Bureau of Rescue, Protection and Troubleshooting of Hungarian environmental disasters, Mr. Zsitnyanyi Attila, General Director of GAMMA Group with some other experts. Mrs. Phan Bich Thien, Chairman of the Foundation for Hungarian-Vietnamese relations participated in this ceremony. In addition, attending to the ceremony, there were leaders of Binh Duong Department of Natural Resources and Environmena oxide (NO); Ozone (O3); Sulfur dioxide (SO2); Nitrogen oxides (NOx); Dust (PM10 or PM2.5); Meteorological parameters (Temperature, Humidity, Wind speed, wind direction). The station is installed with the office of Environmental Monitoring Center is located at No. 556 Nguyen Van Cu, Long Bien District, Hanoi.
Speaking at the reception ceremony, Deputy General Director Nguyen The Dong emphasized the cooperative relationship between Hungary and Vietnam and affirmed to use the equipment awarded effectively. The General Department of Environment also said that the Center for Environmental Monitoring is assigned to manage and use TVS3 station. The Deputy Director General also thanked the Director General of the National Directorate for Rescue, Protection and Troubleshooting of Hungary's Environmental Disaster and Gamma Group for donating TVS3 Station.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Director of the Environmental Monitoring Center also said TVS3 air monitoring station with the design according to European standards, compact and maintenance costs and Moderate operation will certainly support a significant amount of air quality monitoring in the installation area. Mr. Thuy also said that in the coming time, the Center for Environmental Monitoring would manage, operate and assess the appropriateness as well as the ability of the equipment to meet the conditions of Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Mr. Tollar Tibor, General Director of the National Bureau of Rescue, Protection, and Troubleshooting of Hungarian environmental disasters also expressed his desire to cooperate with the Environment Administration in particular and Vietnam in general in controlling environmental pollution.
At the end of the ceremony, Deputy General Director Nguyen The Dong, Director Nguyen Van Thuy, Mr. Tollar Tibor and Mr. Zsitnyanyi Attila cut the inauguration ribbon of TVS3 station.
